What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing; reducing stress in people’s lives can be key in optimising good health and building resilience. It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas.

What to expect during a treatment

Foot and facial reflexology - You will be sitting in an elevated zero gravity chair to enhance the relaxation element. Reflexology is administered through applying gentle pressure to the reflexes on your feet or face (depending on your treatment). Only shoes and socks need to be removed for Foot reflexology.

Indian Head Massage - You will need to remove your top but you will have a towel to wrap around you. The treatment involves massage on your upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp. You will be sitting on my massage chair in which you are supported to be able to relax into the treatment.

What to expect after treatment

Everyone is unique and therefore there is no one response after treatment. You may feel relaxed or even energised and ready to start the day. As the session will move toxins it is vital that you drink plenty of water to flush those toxins out of your system. You may experience a temporary adverse reaction such as lightheadedness, but be assured that this is perfectly normal and simply your body rebalancing itself.
